Following his military service, Tony joined the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office where he spent 18 years serving the citizens of Frederick County. During his tenure he earned the trust and respect of both his colleagues and the community through his commitment to public safety and professionalism.

After retiring from the Sheriff’s Office, Tony’s commitment to public service did not end. Determined to continue giving back to the community he calls home, he joined the Frederick City Police Department where he continues to serve today.

Tony’s continued service reflects his unwavering dedication to protecting the community and improving the quality of life for Frederick County residents. With over 30 years of Law Enforcement experience and United States Military background Tony Lawson brings proven leadership, experience, and a servant’s heart to his candidacy for Sheriff.
